The Art of Publication The term “publication” has a very border meaning. From publishing newspapers, magazines, books, scientific journals to typography, postscript, or the CMYK colour module, it covers a vast area. By definition, it is to display one’s work to public by means of any device or process that not necessarily have to be just printed copies. In fact it includes every state-of-art device of present time; and for this very reason, to master the art of publication, one needs to master lots of different disciplines. Nevertheless, it is the fundamental principles of printing, which were developed over thousand years that rule it all. In this course we are going to learn them.
