Understanding Color and Color Management From vibrant to flat, in the darker or lighter shade, in stronger or weaker tone, from neutral to colorfulness, color is always there in all possible tints. Looking through the viewfinder, or on a large display and then the final outputs in prints, every moment we capture consists of colors. There are numerous ways to represent and understand the color in photography. The aim of this course is to understand color and color management. We may perhaps just overlook them and fly over the Detroit River, or enjoy the century-old Tower Bridge on the river Thames. We can simply take a journey through the corridor of passion that leads us to the Far East, Beijing then to Niseko, Japan, down to the land of Thousand Islands, then to the deserts of Africa, the mediaeval villages in Indian subcontinent or to the mountain of Himalayas.
